Gryphon's Aeire
Tip - Cilantro
KITCHEN TIP -
Cilantro is difficult to grow in several areas of the country - and
if you buy it from the store it is hard to use it all up before it
wilts. Here is a way to keep it for several weeks quite happily. When you
get a fresh bunch of cilantro - wash it thoroughly, cut off the stems,
and let it sit out in a colander for a couple of hours to dry. When it
is pretty dry, but not yet dead, pop it into a sealable plastic
container that you have lined with several layers of paper towel. Seal and put
in the fridge. Use the cilantro as needed, and every once in while
change the paper towel. You will find that it keeps fresh for a long, long
time. This method also works well for parsley.
