America sweet on rolls - with or without cinnamon

Ancient Romans treasured cinnamon as a love potion. They also wore
its essence as an irresistible perfume.
Lovers in 21st-century America go to the shopping mall, stand in
front of the Cinnabon franchise and inhale. You could probably
arrange to have your wedding ceremony right in front of the serving
counter, except that the minister may not be able to pronounce the
liturgy with his mouth full of cinnamon roll.
The origin of the American cinnamon roll can probably be traced to an
English baker and tea shop owner named Sally Lunn. I once visited the
historic site. If memory serves me correctly, you wander around the
city of Bath until you come upon the main cathedral. Go one block to
your right, then three sniffs to the left and you're there.
A variety of Sally Lunn's sweet yeast bread followed the colonists to
the new world. Now every American has his or her favorite bakery for
cinnamon rolls.
